These Are The Favourite Name Choices For The Royal Baby

The due date is just around the corner!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child together and there’s one question on everyone’s lips: what name will they choose?

With the due date fast approaching, Diana, Victoria and Alice are the top three names for girls, while Albert, Phillip and Arthur are the bookies’ favourites if they have a little boy. Given that the Royals are known for celebrating their heritage, it’s no surprise that the front-runners for both a boy and a girl are traditional names within the monarchy.

It’s very common for royals to choose names from famous monarchs or previous generations, like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge choosing Elizabeth and Diana for Princess Charlotte’s middle names.

When it comes to Baby Sussex, Diana is currently the overriding favourite, which would be a tribute to Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana. Albert, which was the name of Queen Victoria’s beloved husband, is the bookie’s favourite boy’s name.

The baby will be seventh in line for the throne.
