Schiaparelli is celebrating its long history of collaborating with leading artists by launching a brand new section of its website.

The online gallery will feature paintings, photography and sculpture that have been incorporated into Schiaparelli designs, from the brand's inception in the 1930s to the present day. There will be works from artists including Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí and Alberto Giacometti, amongst others. More pieces will be added over the next few weeks.

In the spirit of the house, the artist Christian Borstlap was commissioned to create an exclusive animated cartoon highlighting a selection of the artists.

Elsa Schiaparelli founded her eponymous line in 1926 and found fame for her avant-garde designs. She often collaborated with leading artists from the surrealist movement popular at the time – from her famous 'lobster dress' designed with Salvador Dalí to her evening jackets featuring the profiles of women, created with Jean Cocteau.
