Commencing on the 28th of March in Dubai Design District (d3), L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels will offer courses and four new exhibitions over a two-week period. Open to the public and elaborating on its goals from the previous edition, the school’s objective this year is to stimulate and inspire aspiring jewellery designers and artists through brand-new classes, talks and exhibitions. “The savoir-faire classes boast the styles and the stones, which give life to jewellery—from the first stroke of the pencil, to physical reality, students discover all the secrets behind jewellery making,” says Marie Vallanet, the president of L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels.

As the only educational platform of its kind worldwide, Vallanet acknowledges Dubai as a cultural melting pot ideal for reaching out to a variety of backgrounds and cultures. “Following the great success in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York, we wanted to select a city that represents global dialogue and understanding,” she shares. “Our journey with our clients here couldn’t be less wonderful as we learn more about their rich culture and exquisite taste. I believe that our presence here pushed the boundaries of our designs and opened new dimensions of exploration and creativity for our artisans.”

Cultivating artistic growth and inspiring creativity, L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels’ second edition in the Middle East will be open to all ages and inclusive of a wide-range of competency levels, with various activities and events including conversations with the experts and jewellery-inspired al fresco movies.
The L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels programme will run from 28 March to 13 April 2019 at Hai d3 in Dubai Design District
