24 Hours With Whind’s Hind Sebti
The founder of Moroccan beauty brand and co-founder of brand development platform, Waldencast, roots her day in hourly peppermint teas and a non-negotiable beauty routine
7AM: I usually wake up around 7AM. If I’m not travelling, I would take the time to slowly wake up, reconnect with my thoughts and drink a large glass of water. I certainly am not a jump out of bed person. I open the curtains to see the light flood the bedroom, check my phone, emails, texts and my diary.
At 7:30AM I’ll shower and get ready. I wet my face with fresh water and then apply Whind Oasis fresh cleanser – it’s a balm texture that immediately melts into milk when in contact with water and feels like a morning hug. I get ready for my morning prayer and next is getting dressed. I tend to have ‘uniforms’ that I have in various colours and textures such as Chloé boots, a T-shirt and jeans, and I always wear the same jewellery which I never take off so no time spent accessorising.
By 8:30AM I’m out of the door to the office or a breakfast meeting.
9AM: Half of my time is spent travelling but if I’m at home in South West London, it’s close to the office so I arrive by 9am where I take my first peppermint tea of the day. I have at least one cup of peppermint tea per hour, (I guess that’s the Moroccan in me!) and a couple of Earl Grey teas with a dash of milk (that’s my British side). My morning is mostly dedicated to building incredible brands and products with my team so there is always a meeting going on either physically at the office or remotely with my teams in the GCC, USA or SEA. Most days I’ll also be trying a new beauty product or formulation, swatching textures and colours – it’s at the heart of what we do.

1PM: I love routines and literally eat the same Lebanese salad every day at around 1PM with a power walk or just at my desk in a meeting. Building a global beauty business with multiple brands, multiple geographies and being involved in all matters of business planning, strategy, marketing, product development and all growth opportunities is what makes my job intense and my diary unpredictable. But I absolutely adore it. The London office is a fabulous collective of amazing individuals, more than 90 per cent of women from all over the world with fantastic beauty expertise and passion.
At 6PM I leave the office, but I never leave work. Running an international business means meetings sometimes run late to connect with our US teams and as an entrepreneur you never take a break from your dream. So technically I am always working even if I appear not to be.
8PM I’ll have dinner with my son at 8PM and some quality time together. I do enjoy the relaxation of late night watching or reading with a cup of tea and a candle and that quiet feeling whilst everyone else is asleep. Skincare is an important way I prepare for a good night’s sleep. The first step is cleansing my face with Whind Oasis Fresh Jelly Cleanser. I rinse it off and apply my Whind Atlas Pure Clay Face Mask. Then, I gently apply a very generous amount of Whind Marrakech Silk Polishing Body Balm all over my body and step into a hot shower. The face mask and body balm melt onto my skin and effortlessly wash away leaving a clean, soft and glowing complexion. I then follow with an oil scalp massage – scalp health is my latest obsession. Face, hair and body done, it’s time to slip into my favourite pyjamas and super crisp white sheets.
11AM I catch up on my prayers for the day – a moment of gratitude and grounding – and tend to go to bed late, around 11PM as I am most productive at night and often into my perfect thinking zone. Although I am a good sleeper, jetlag or some other factors might occasionally keep me awake at 3am so I distract myself by shopping for swimsuits (with of course no beach holiday booked), lulling myself into a warm, beach dream.
