When Art And Beauty Join Forces

The inspiration for the newest beauty products comes from sculpture, horticulture and fashion…

1. The Illustrator
Donald ‘Drawbertson’ Robertson thanks Bazaar for his latest project: “Smashbox saw my work in the beauty supplement of Harper’s Bazaar UK, and asked me to do the same for them.” His packaging for the eyeliners and lipsticks will create a mini art show on the shelves.

2. The Gardener
Both L’Occitane and James Basson, the gardener tasked with creating the brand’s garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, have strong ties to Grasse. For his authentic Provencal garden, Basson drew inspiration from his homeland and beautiful ingredients grown there.

3. The Designer
Christopher Kane’s woman sports radiant skin and just the subtlest hint of iridescent colour across the eyes and cheeks. This look has been defined by Nars and the designer over the past four years backstage at the shows, and they’ve collaborated on a range that’s a fast track to achieving such ethereal beauty.

4. The Sculptor
Inspired by Sisley’s iconic Eau du Soir scent, the Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof ’s design for the brand’s latest spicy fragrance, Soir d’Orient, is classically feminine and sophisticated.
