Sun hats and pigtail plaits were the order of the day at Dior's spring/summer 2020 show during Paris Fashion Week.
Long-haired models appeared on the catwalk with uniform braids, styled by arguably the most influential figure in setting hair trends, Guido Palau.
The global creative director for Redken explained: "The softness in the braid and the profile feels very soft, very romantic, and a bit youthful."
The best bit? Literally anyone with length can pull it off. High fashion hair doesn't get easier than this.
"I’ve utilised Redken Powder Grip 03 to add texture and hold to the hair as I’m braiding down the girls’ lengths," Palau explained, "and the new Redken Triple Pure 32 Hairspray for high hold without the crunch."
Follow his lead by securing the ends with discreet elastics, which add a more grown-up finish to the style.
Without wishing the current season away, the trend feels best saved for spring. That, or a winter sun holiday on the horizon.
