You Can Now Order An On-Demand Blow-dry To Your Home In Dubai

A stylist will arrive at your door in an Uber

Dubai-based beauty experts Blowout&Go have just announced an exciting collaboration with Uber, allowing clients to call a hair stylist to their home at the touch of a button.

‘bgX’, which was launched by co-founders Ali Rafi and one of Bazaar’s Best Dressed 2018 women Paria Ghorashi, will send the stylist directly to your door via an Uber to give you a last minute blow-dry. Although bgX will initially offer only blow-drys, there are plans to roll out more services, including cuts, make-up and manicures.

The app is currently available to download on iOS and android in London, Paris and Dubai, and claims that you may be able to get a stylist to your home in as little as 20 minutes.

Once you have requested a blow-dry, it will go out to nearby salons (within a one mile radius) to see who can take the call out.

Ghorashi, co-founder and CEO of Blowout&Go said: “Nowadays customers are demanding immediate services via their mobile apps and there is a huge demand for beauty services to be delivered in this way.

“Customers will be able to book a stylist to their home or office directly from their smartphone. The platform will provide a convenient and fast service for busy people on the go.

“We expect delivery of all kinds of high quality services immediately and transparently via our mobile phones – whether it be food delivery, transport, or parcels – and beauty is no different.”

The stylist will arrive with hair products from Balmain Paris Hair Couture, and once they’ve finished tending to your locks, you will be able to rate them out of five stars.
