Interview: Skincare Expert Abigail James On Achieving A Flawless Complexion
Bazaar speaks exclusively to the ambassador Rituals’ new Namaste collection
This month, bath and body brand Riutals unveiled their new skincare line, Namaste. Complete with a scrub, toner, moisturiser, mask, creams, oils, ampoules, and just about every other type of lotion and potion one may need on their vanity, the collection can be intimidating to navigate through for skincare beginners. Bazaar sat down with brand ambassador and celebrity facialist Abigail James, who rounds-up her top five products from Namaste.
“I think cleansing is essential, morning and night. I like starting with the cleansing balm as that first step cleanse. You can use it to massage into the skin, and when you add water it turns to a lotion, and then you can rinse it off.””

“I love an oil. You might not think they’re a key part of your skincare routine, I just find they’re so universal, whether you want to massage with it, or add it into a moisturiser, or put it on as your light product.”

“Another favourite are the ampoules. They’re not an obvious within skincare routine. They’re intended as a seven day treatment. There’s a whole lot of plant actives, but there’s hyaluronic acid in them as well, which really tightens and hydrates the skin. Especially living in warmer temperatures, adding in a layer of hydration is so important. They’re also travel-friendly because they’re so small!”

“I use this to prep my skin before I go out, because my make-up looks flawless after using the mask. And if it’s been a late night, this is great for the morning after to revive the skin”

The tonic is an extra layer of hydration. Your your moisturises and serums will absorb a lot quicker when you use this product.”
