This Mask Has A 5,000-Person Strong Waiting List

From time to time, a beauty product comes along that exceeds our wildest dreams and results in frenzied attempts to secure one before it inevitably sells out. The latest product to send beauty lovers worldwide into such a spin is the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask by Glow Recipe. 

The mask was created by Sarah Lee and Christine Chang, the co-founders of the Glow Recipe website, which has fast become a go-to for expert advice and reviews on the best Korean beauty products. Most recently, the pair has combined their 20+ years of experience to create two of their own products – the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask and Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser. The items were released just last week, and within five hours, the mask had completely sold out and amassed a wait list of over 5,000 people. 

Made from watermelon flesh and rind (which means it smells amazing), the mask also includes hyaluronic acid and alpha hydroxy acids which are great for hydrating and clearing skin. Watermelon is a popular ingredient in Korean skincare, thanks to its soothing properties, antioxidants and vitamins. 

It can be applied either as a mask, left on for 10 minutes and then washed off for an instant pick-me-up, or as a moisturiser at night to ensure you wake up with more radiant, healthy-looking skin. 

The mask, which retails for Dhs165, was re-released yesterday but has sold out again. You can place your name on the waiting list here but you’ll need to make sure you act fast when the re-stock notification comes through.
