Tiffany & Co Launches Its First Major Fragrance For 30 Years
Introducing the Eau de Parfum
Tiffany & Co. introduces its new signature fragrance – an eponymous sparkling floral musk, which, according to the brand, evokes the spirit of the iconic jewellery brand which was founded in 1837 and is a contemporary take on the most precious ingredients of traditional haute perfumery.
The scent, created by master perfumer Daniela Andrier of the fragrance house Givaudan, flaunts notes of mandarin, patchouli and the heart of an iris flower, which is harvested in France in the summer through an extraction method that is exclusive to the brand. It’s a nod to the DNA of the house and is an olfactory take on the area Tiffany & Co. know best – a touch of jewellery on bare skin.
The house’s chief artistic officer Reed Krakoffm, alongside photographer Steven Meisel, tapped four modern woman who represent the spirit of the brand to front the campaign. Models Vittoria Ceretti, Julia Nobis, Achok Majak and Georgina Grenville all star in the campaign, which is soundtracked by St. Vincent performing a cover of The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love.
Tiffany & Co takes inspiration from the house’s most iconic diamond cuts – the yellow 287.42-carat Tiffany diamond acquired by founder Charles Tiffany in 1878 and the Lucida diamond, which is a popular engagement ring choice originally introduced in 1999 – for the glass flacon shape of the bottle.
The fragrance will be available in November and, like all of the jeweller’s signature creations, the fragrance is, of course, presented in the iconic Tiffany Blue Box – and just in time for the holiday season no less. That’s one Christmas present sorted.
