Why Breast Cancer Is A Year-Round Fight

Gillette Venus is determined to make the fight against breast cancer a 365-day mission

Every 14 seconds, a woman somewhere in the world is diagnosed with breast cancer. According to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, more than 2.3 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide in 2020.

To aid awareness of the disease, Gillette Venus, the renowned women’s shaving products and personal care brand, launched its latest campaign that promotes checking all year round. The brand set out to assert that breast cancer is among the most malignant tumors that affect women around the world, comprising 25 per cent of all cancer cases, and that we must continue raising awareness of the illness 365 days a year, not just during breast cancer awareness month.

The brand is also highlighting the importance of having regular screening, as early detection of breast cancer boosts recovery rates by 93 per cent or more within the first five years.

Solidifying its status as one of the most renowned women’s skin care, daily care and beauty brands since its launch in 2001, Gillette Venus has worked with the Saudi German Hospital in Jeddah and Hayat National Hospital in Riyadh to cover the expenses of 500 early breast cancer detection tests for women without health insurance (250 tests per hospital). This service will be available between March 20 2022 and June 2022, or until all 500 tests are administered.

These efforts seek to encourage women to take care of themselves and the women around them, not only in October, but all year round.

Terms and conditions apply: service is by appointment and abiding by the hospitals regulations and official doctor consultation. Check-ups can be redeemed from March 20 2022 – June 2022 or until the reach is achieved.
