The award-winning make-up artist is a force of nature to be reckoned with; in a recent interview with Bazaar Arabia, she reveals how her journey working on set in Tinsel town was, ultimately, her masterclass in understanding how to create a flawless goddess-like glow for her red carpet clients.

First noticing how A-listers often seemed to be dehydrated (probably due to all that travel), which was reflected in their skin, she started developing her famous Magic Cream in cooperation with professional scientists. After the product became an incredible success amongst some of the biggest names in the entertainment world, Charlotte took on the adventure to dive in deeper into the creation of hydrating and illuminating products. “

“I’d be fixing formulas like an alchemist all the time, because I couldn’t get what I wanted on the market,” she explains.

Being able to get up close with the magicians who control the picture-perfect illusion with their cameras and professional lighting – DOPs, Directors and Cinematographers – the make-up-artist-turned-entrepreneur learned how to manipulate light with the help of products, ones which flatter all skin tones and types.

“I’m always like a light thief, a DNA thief, I’m always going around, like how do I take that and bottle it?” says Charlotte, stressing how important it is for her as a beauty brand founder to combine innovation with her knowledge to create a glass-like, super smooth skin through the help of make-up.

Of course, she applied this ethos when creating her newest baby, the Hollywood Highlighters range.
