Last night, BAZAAR partied at Beiruit’s Sursock district to celebrate the launch of Elie Saab’s new fragrance (which has already sold out in Dubai) Le Parfum Royal – and we were not in bad company.

Held at Musee Sursock, a modern art and contemporary art museum in Beirut, Lebanon, and a favourite place of Mr Saab where the designer finds a lot of inspiration, we were welcomed onto the stunning property with a cocktail reception before tucking into a sumptuous spread of traditional Middle Eastern food.

Lebanese superstar and friend of Elie Saab, Elissa, was at the cocktail reception and dinner party.

As were former BAZAAR Junior cover star Lana El Sahely and Anum Bashir of Desert Mannequin, who took to the gardens of Sursock House before the party to pay tribute Le Parfum Royal through an exclusive photoshoot.

TV presenter and all-round style icon Diala Makki was also in attendance. The Arab beauty shared several pictures on her Instagram from the trip, showcasing her Elie Saab outfits alongside the new perfume.

Not even BAZAAR could resist a picture on Musee Sursock's Cinderella-esque staircase...

Maïa Lernout, the perfumer and creator of Le Parfum Royal also touched down in Beirut for the soiree, where she sat down with BAZAAR for an exclusive chat about newly-launched fragrance. You’ll have to pick up the May issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Arabia to see what was said.
