Huda Kattan Relaunches A Discontinued Product Based On Feedback From Her Fans

Here’s everything you need to know about the Rose Gold Remastered

Back in August, Huda Beauty announced they were discontinuing their beloved Rose Gold eyeshadow palette and the entire beauty industry Internet went into mourning.

But last night, Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan took to Instagram to announce the launch of the Rose Gold Remastered palette – a revamped edition of her best-selling palette that was shelved. The beauty mogul has taken the palette and upgraded the colours and formulas after listening to feedback from customers and fans of the brand.

Everyone who knows me, knows how important our original Rose Gold Palette was to us, but when we launched it, we really had to invest everything into the Palette and couldn’t invest in things like packaging & innovation! That year 2016, I actually couldn’t afford to pay myself salary, because this Palette was such a huge project for us! Fast forward to 2018 and we wanted to reintroduce our Rose Gold Palette, with completely new and never seen before formulas, listening to everything you guys wanted! “My team and I decided to start completely remastering the formulas, taking into account EVERYTHING that EVERYONE said,” Huda writes on her blog. “For instance, things like, “We want a mirror,” which was something we immediately put into our Desert Dusk Palette, but also comments asking for a pigment that could work with a brush, and more buttery mattes. So, we reformulated textures and created a completely new cream shadow formula.”

The mother-of-one also opens up about the financial struggles she faced to initially launch the palette. “That year 2016, I actually couldn’t afford to pay myself salary, because this Palette was such a huge project for us,” she writes on Instagram. “It was a very tough time for us as a brand, and to launch the palette I literally had to bootstrap to finance it.”

Rose Gold Remastered will hit Sephora.com and stores in Dubai Mall, Mall of Emirates, YAS Mall and Mirdiff City Centre on 22 May, retailing for Dhs263 – and we’ll be first in line!
