MAC Unveils An ‘Aladdin’-Themed Makeup Collection
We’re using up all three of our wishes on this range
The Aladdin live-action remake is one of the most hotly anticipated movies of 2019, and now it will have its very own magical makeup range to celebrate its release.
Cosmetics giant MAC has partnered with the blockbuster-to-be to produce a special-edition makeup range that fulfils all our Disney fantasies. Inspired by the upcoming Guy Ritchie film, and, more specifically, by the strong-willed Princess Jasmine’s enchanting beauty looks, there are lip, eye and cheek products to choose from. You just have to let your heart decide.
A first look at the collection reveals an eyeshadow palette with nine different shades of shining, shimmering and splendid shadows to complement Jasmine’s iconic aqua-blue ensemble, as well as a bronzer complete with genie lamp-imprinted powder. A magenta lipstick in the style of the Princess of Aghrabah’s very own red lip is a highlight of the collection: The casing design is bold, intricate and reminiscent of traditional Middle Eastern patterns, in hues as vibrant as the colour palette of the classic film itself.
MAC is expected to release the collection in May 2019 and the Disney film is also due to premiere later that month, on 24 May.
MAC x Aladdin is shaping up to be one of the year’s most exciting beauty duos and it comes mere days after MAC’s announcement of their partnership with ground-breaking, prolific French-Tunisian artist eL Seed. Looks like all our wishes have been granted.
