On March 14, 2023, Marrakech Fashion Week (MFW) kicked off its second edition in Morocco. The event, which spanned over five days, aimed to bring together talented designers from around the globe – showcasing their unique collections, all inspired by Moroccan culture and contemporary art.
The event itself was described as a ‘major event on the international fashion scene’ and aimed to not only up-stage the first edition but display Marrakech’s rich heritage to the world through fashion.
This year, Marrakech Fashion Week featured haute couture designs curated using only locally-sourced materials and used traditional artisan techniques with sustainability and environmental protection in mind.
The fashion show featured an array of up-coming and talented designers originating from Morocco such as Ghita Chraibi, Alphadi, Lune de Jour, Rajaee Errais and much more.
