After all, there are so many gilded dishes, items and experiences one can shop and explore while in Dubai we couldn’t help but think there’s no way slathering one’s face with 24K gold will make any difference when it comes to upping the ante of our salon-grade skincare regime.
But we were wrong.
As a precious mineral, gold boasts both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties – meaning it can calm redness and reduce the size of pores, while reducing the signs of aging, leaving the skin looking visibly brighter and rejuvenated. It can also work to reduce the appearance of sun damage, while being gently and safe enough to be used on sensitive skin.

The process for the actual 24K gold facial is similar of that to a regular facial except, of course, with a few added benefits.
First our therapist cleaned our skin and removed our make-up, before oxygenating our skin to remove dead cells. After the cleansing process was finished – and the lymphatic drainage massage, extraction and hydration treatments were complete – gold therapy cream (which includes collagen) and a gold mask was gentle applied to the skin.
Our therapist then massaged it in to ensure all the minerals and benefits of the gold penetrated the skin to the highest degree. The facial was topped off with a Hydrogelly mask, hyaluronic acid serum and a nice little head, neck and shoulders massage to help relief tension.
The results? Our skin looked visibly smoother and hydrated, our sunspots had reduced slight and, overall, we felt very relaxed and pampered.
