Recently, news broke that Huda Kattan was back as her eponymous brand’s CEO and the internet came together for support.

As the Dubai-based beauty mogul prepares for a company overhaul, let’s take a look at the brand’s previous head, Nathalie Kristo, who has over two decades of experience in the cosmetics industry.

Here are five facts you should know about the beauty veteran

She Has Over 20 Years Of Experience In The Industry

Prior to joining Huda Beauty, she spent two decades in the sector, building and managing top companies and businesses across the world.

She Has Worked For Multiple Top Cosmetics Brands

Nathalie spent most of her career working with brands under French personal care giant L’Oreal.

Until 2018, she was the Global Brand President of NYX Professional Makeup, where she spearheaded the globalisation of the brand, expanded their social and digital presence, and pioneered a unique digitized retail experience.

She has also held the positions of Senior Vice President of Marketing for L’Oreal Paris USA, General Manager of Maybelline New York and Garnier in Canada, as well as various global roles in France.

She Joined Huda Beauty In 2018

Nathalie joined the Huda Beauty family six years ago and played a crucial role in pushing the company’s global reach and exposure.

She collaborated with Huda, and established the brand’s inaugural North American operation and the company’s hub for digital excellence in Los Angeles, assembling a team from the ground up, according to a report by cew.org, an organisation representing the international beauty landscape.

She Moved To Dubai For Her Role

In March 2019, Nathalie became Deputy CEO of the company and in 2020, she ultimately went on to become CEO. That same year in February, Nathalie relocated to Dubai to take on her duties, where the brand is based.

She’s Currently Part Of Pacifica Beauty

Since January 2022, she has been based in California and is a board member and the CEO of the clean cosmetics brand, Pacifica Beauty, according to her LinkedIn page. She took over the reins as CEO from the company’s founder Brook Harvey-Taylor, who then moved into the position of President, according to reports.

The line claims to be 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free and stocks skincare, fragrances, and make-up.
