From Tatiana Nassour’s Emeralds to Radhika Merchant’s Diamonds, Here Are 9 of The Best Wedding Jewellery Moments of 2024
From lavish pieces worn to pre-wedding events to spectacular jewels for the big day, we round up the most sensational wedding jewellery moments of 2024 so far…
If there’s one thing the region is known for its opulent weddings… and even more extravagant jewellery. As the season kicks off Bazaar Arabia shares a glimpse at some of the most impressive wedding jewels worn by guests, family members, brides and brides-to-be on their big day.
Radhika Merchant’s Kankotri Ceremony
The long-awaited Ambani wedding has delivered a flurry of extraordinary fine jewellery moments since Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani announced their wedding in December 2023. The bride-to-be’s pre-wedding looks featured some astonishing jewels, including an elegant three-strand diamond necklace—an ode to the delicate femininity of pear shape stones—for her Kankotri ceremony.
Nita Ambani’s Mother-Of-The-Groom Moment
Nita Ambani, mother of Anant Ambani, wore a remarkable array of fine jewels for the couple’s pre-wedding parties, but it was a suite of emeralds and diamonds that went viral when she attended part of the nuptials in March. Nita’s nude-hued sari by Manish Malhotra displayed her jewels magnificently—a lavish necklace featuring two unfathomably large emeralds. Emeralds of this size and vibrant hue are exceptionally rare, much like the diamond ring that Nita chose to wear with them. The diamond ring reportedly features a historic emerald cut diamond named the Mirror of Paradise, estimated to weigh over 52 carats.

Sonakshi Sinha Marries Zaheer Iqbal
Pearls have been worn for wedding ceremonies for hundreds of years, perhaps because their lustre lights up the complexion like no other gemstone. Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha chose a pearl and diamond choker and earring suite to embellish a wedding saree with great sentimental meaning; the understated design was worn by her mother at her own wedding 44 years ago.

Tatiana Nassour’s Captivating Nuptials And Pre-Wedding Celebrations
In an exquisite ceremony channelling 1930s Great Gatsby glamour, Tatiana Nassour married Joe Samman before celebrating with friends and family at the Biel Beirut Waterfront. Tatiana’s strapless gown set the stage for an exquisite double-strand diamond necklace and pear shape diamond earrings, both crafted by her mother’s brand, Batouli. The beautiful bride wowed guests at her pre-wedding celebrations too, with a necklace featuring an enchanting display of heart shape emeralds. Heart shape silhouettes are one of the most difficult cuts to master, and emeralds are extremely fragile, so this necklace showcased an extraordinary feat of fine jewellery savoir-faire.

Dayane Nassour’s Fairytale Wedding Day
Marrying just six days before her sister, Dayane Nassour opted for an ultra-romantic ceremony festooned with flowers to wed Hadi Khalil at Villa Chamoun. Dayane wore a timeless diamond line necklace with a charming sweetheart silhouette, paired with classic diamond stud earrings and an elegant tennis bracelet, all designed by her mother’s jewellery maison, Batouli. After tying the knot, Dayane added a timeless diamond eternity band to her striking round solitaire engagement ring, crafted by her brother’s fine jewellery brand, HKN diamonds.

Sara Abi Kanaan Marries Wissam Fares
Actor Sara Abi Kanaan wed fellow co-star Wissam Fares earlier this summer overlooking the glistening Lebanese coast, surrounded by countless candles, family and friends. The breathtaking beauty of the Antonio Beach location was rivalled by Sara’s jewels – the bride wore a contemporary three-strand diamond necklace by Nsouri jewelry, paired with delicate pear shape diamond drop earrings. Sara also wore a bejewelled hair band by B Bloomed Headpieces, then completed her look with an unusual final flourish – glittering silver gilt flowers.

Rakul Preet’s Traditional And Total Splendour
Actor Rakul Preet can perhaps be credited with the most maximalist sensibility of brides so far for 2024, wearing multiple looks that redefine the true meaning of opulence. For one part of her three-day wedding celebrations, Rakul wore bangles adorned with cascading, personalised charms, and paired them with a sumptuous suite of gleaming polki diamonds that included a choker, an elegant tikka, and eyecatching earrings.
Nada Adelle And Umar Kamani Both Bejewelled
Marrying Umar Kamani at the prestigious Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, model Nada Adelle wore a sleek and simple pair of diamond earrings for the first day of her wedding celebrations, and then opted for an intricate diamond choker to complement her traditional attire. The bride was entirely adorned for this extravagant celebration; Nada chose large round diamond studs and a delicate tikka to complement her emerald cut diamond engagement ring and new wedding band. Nada’s now-husband, Umar Kamani, was also exquisitely adorned – the CEO of Pretty Little Thing wore a striking three-strand necklace with a majestic emerald centre stone.
Samara Madhvani’s Intimate London Wedding
Samara Madhvani’s wedding was a celebration of modern elegance, marked by her choice of extraordinary jewellery and a striking timepiece. For the intimate ceremony with friends and family, she chose an exquisite Chanel high jewellery necklace, featuring diamonds masterfully cut into delicate flower petals—each formed a radiant bloom that caught the light with every movement. Providing a chic accent to her short, floral dress, Samara wore the Reference 2899 Cartier Tank Crash watch from her father’s renowned collection of fine timepieces, an exceptionally rare piece that is one of only 100 ever made. Samara chose a white Himalayan alligator strap to add a bridal feel to its eye-catching face and criss-crossing diamond-set bezels, blending new beginnings with her much cherished heritage.
