Elie Saab Bridal Spring 2023 Collection Is Here And It’s An Ode To Timeless Masterpieces…

Encapsulating the fleeting moments between artist and muse, these sparks in time – impeccably captured in this collection – will influence the path of bridal-fashion history forever, says writer Lily Mae Pacey

This collection’s bridal muse is a female deity; she breathes light into the room, yet embodies earthly elegance. She is beauty, she is grace, and she is the heart of the masterpiece.

Since launching his prominent label in 1982, Elie Saab instantly captured the attention of brides across the globe. His designs are inspired by his Beirut roots (Bei-roots) combining flowing Western silhouettes, with a Middle Eastern flair. A talent Saab continues to finesse to this day.

With notable gown appearances on the likes of Queen Rania of Jordan, Halle Berry, and Saab’s very own daughter in-law, Christina Mourad, his designs are fit for a modern-day fairy tale. Even the ‘Queen B’ of the U.S. television-series Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf, turned to the Lebanese fashion house for her big on-screen day.

The latest collection, entitled Ethereal Radiance, evokes just that. We are transported back to the times of sonnet seekers, hopeless romantics, and the true heroines of the Pre-Raphaelites. A fairy tale indeed.

Every gown is an individual work of art, abundant in details that connect the beauty of nature with bridal drama.

For the ‘Ophelia Bride’, organza blooms at the sleeves as tulle cascades effortlessly to the foliage at foot. Embroidered sequins and pearls glisten like dewdrops on an early spring morning.

This bride alone holds the power to summon the silence of a room, and steal the breath of a crowd with her majestic ball gown and enchanting glow.

We witness details symbolic to Elie Saab, with complementing veils, exquisite headpieces, and slim belts at the waist that add a final touch of fabulous.

Elaborate necklines, delicate silks and Chantilly lace softly embrace natural contours – an Elie Saab tradition.

The spritely, youthful bride plays with modern-day glitz and glam, as beads dazzle across a sheer bodice and lead the eye to meet a wispy, ostrich feathered hem.

Just like the transient seconds as the bride and groom lock eyes at the aisle, this collection revives the traditional romance that sings to the heart of all brides-to-be.
