Madelaine Brockway Wedding: Total Cost, Epic Registry List and Why It’s Being Called The Nuptials of the Century

She’s clearly outdone Sofia Richie…

If you haven’t already heard the most extravagant wedding of the century happened last week; and, naturally, it has been all over our TikTok and Instagram pages.

From a wedding registry that featured a $12,500 (Dhs 46,000) crystal butterfly house to Private Maroon 5 concert for guests and overnight stay at the Palace of Versailles, the whole internet has been wondering… who is Madelaine Brockway?

Here Bazaar Arabia shares everything we know about heiress, her lavish nuptials and more.

Who is Madelaine Brockway?

According to social media, Madelaine is a regional car dealership heiress. Although she is a private person, she chose to share her wedding content and behind the scenes on her TikTok page and has amassed a cult following of her wedding events, that have created a ripple of hundreds of thousands of users sharing their opinions and comments on her big day, that has been herald the “wedding of the century.”

Where was the Bachelorette?

Coverage of the wedding began with Madelaine’s Marie Antoinette themed bash with her closest friends in the Amangiri, with four days of themed table scrapes surrounded by the Utah desert. The hotel is a celebrity favourite, and famously has a three-night stay minimum. The events where skillfully captured by a hired videographer, an element that continued into her wedding events.

What was on the registry?

The first piece of this event that captured an audience was the couples wedding registry. Traditionally, such lists showcase items desired by the couple as they embark on their next chapter, often featuring kitchen gadgets and silverware. While these conventional items did make an appearance on their registry, the inclusion of a crystal butterfly house raised eyebrows as one of the more unconventional choices.

Not stopping there, the couple also requested a set of Herend animal figurines, among which the bobcat came with a hefty price tag of $2,800. Social media users mostly commented on the perplexing mix of décor preferences, sparking discussion and curiosity surrounding the eclectic couple, and we hope for a home tour soon…

How much was the wedding?

TikTok wedding experts and planners have collectively estimated that the nuptials costed around 25-30 million dollars (according to @Maureenrenevents on TikTok), considering the huge floral budget, the fact that the Brockways covered the guest’s stay in Paris as well as events that fell outside of the planned wedding festivities, such as tickets to the Louvre and more. Guests also had a choice of hotel, and Madeline shared style guide collages for each event, ensuring her guests were dressed to the nines and ready to party in style.

With the help of Rachel Birthistle Events, it sees that Madelaine created everyone’s dream wedding. Kelly Dawn Bridal, and their team of 51 hair and make-up artists reportedly covered over 586 appointments over the duration of the festivities.

Social media users were also quick to comment that we rarely see into these exclusive weddings, with Madelaine sharing her pre-wedding festivities with a five-day count down on her TikTok — taking what is now known as the Sofia Richie wedding effect into another stratosphere.

Where was the wedding party?

The couple’s wedding took place on November 18, but the festivities commenced almost a week prior as the couple and their inner circle descended upon Paris. The celebrations reverberated throughout the City of Light and onto the FYP of millions of people…

In the initial chapter of this wedding saga, Madelaine hosted a private soirée at Chanel’s Haute Couture Headquarters in Paris. Close friends and family received personalised tweed pouches with crystals at the exclusive pre-wedding affair.

The second day unfolded in the palace of Versailles, where Madelaine had commandeered the entire venue for her event. Four days before the official ceremony attendees walked around the grounds at midnight, capturing Instagrammable moments in the Hall of Mirrors – the very room that witnessed the formal end of World War One. Dinner was, of course, an equally lavish affair, with servers dressed in period costume.

The entourage was then whisked back to Paris for the wedding’s welcome dinner, hosted at the Opera House (the same venue where Rosemin Madhavji and Javed Opgenhaffen held their nuptial celebrations). Transformed into a floral masterpiece, violinists serenaded the couple’s entrance, beneath Marc Chagall’s painted ceiling in the Garnier; here guests indulged in an exquisite dining experience and celebrated the couple in style.

While actual wedding content from Madelaine Brockway LaGone’s own TikTok page is yet to be released, attendees shared glimpses of an idyllic outdoor venue of Chateau de Villette with panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower. The reception, adorned with hanging white and green flowers, boasted a live orchestra and Maroon 5 concert, concluding with a drone show that depicted the couple’s love story and etched their initials into the sky.

The bride opted for an elegant Dior couture off-the-shoulder gown, showcasing intricately embroidered lace sleeves adorned with delicate Lily of the Valley detailing. Choosing a cathedral veil, she artfully balanced the playful and whimsical elements from her pre-wedding festivities with her more formal wedding day attire, revealing a classic and timeless silhouette that resonated with both her and her husband’s personality.

Who is she marrying?

Her husband is Jacob LaGrone, who according to his LinkedIn, graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019. The couple started dating in March 2020.

Jake LaGrone, Jacob’s father, shared a heart-warming image of his daughter-in-law and wife, saying “We are so blessed to be with Jacob in Paris this week and watch him marry the love of his life. Susan has always wanted a daughter and Maddie is the answer to those prayers.”

We wish the couple all of the happiness in the world, and eagerly await official wedding videos, as well as honeymoon details.
