Though a relatively private couple by nature, Emma Stone and comedian Dave McCary made a wonderful exception last week when they shared the news of their engagement on McCary's Instagram. Beaming blissfully into the slightly out of focused camera, Emma can be seen showing off her engagement ring, which has since driven pretty much everyone on the internet into quite the frenzy.
It has since been revealed that the unique statement ring is designed by Tokyo-based jeweller Kataoka, and appears to be based off of the label's luxuriously romantic Pearl Snowflake Ring-Supreme design. An incredible 8mm pure Akoya pearl takes centre stage, supported by 0.37 carats worth of diamonds along the band of the ring, the metal of which is an interestingly unique 18k beige gold, and around the pearl itself.
The ring's official description presents itself as, "A wearable work of art, worthy of any collection."
"[As] The world's oldest and most treasured gem, the luminescent pearl is paid homage to in this striking setting. Seeming to crest from gold, blended waves set with glittering diamonds, this ring gives the illusion of movement while the eye travels around the halo of brilliant stones."
Whether or not the actress' new bling is the exact design currently available from Kataoka, or simply a customised version of that, is yet to be confirmed. However, the online option currently retails for Dhs17,557.
