Congratulations to Sonakshi Sinha and her husband!

After seven years of dating, Sonakshi and Zaheer made it official with a civil ceremony at her Mumbai home. Their choice to marry under the Special Marriage Act, which allows civil marriages for Indian nationals regardless of religion or faith, set the tone for a pure, intimate, and wholesome event.
Sonakshi took to Instagram to share their journey with a heartfelt caption: “On this day seven years ago, we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold onto it. Today, that love has guided us through challenges and triumphs, leading up to this moment.”

The actress looked every bit the perfect bride in a deeply personal ensemble. Reports have suggested that Sonakshi opted to wear her mother, Poonam Sinha’s, wedding saree. Zaheer complemented his bride in a white embroidered kurta-pyjama.

The beautifully embroidered ivory saree was originally worn by her mother at her own wedding to Shatrughan Sinha 44 years ago.
The wedding was an intimate affair with close family and friends. Among the attendees were Sonakshi’s Heeramandi co-star, Aditi Rao Hydari, and her fiancé, Siddharth, as well as Aayush Sharma and his wife Arpita.

The evening reception, however, was quite the opposite. Sonakshi stunned in a red Banarasi silk saree, while Zaheer stuck to white and gold tones. The reception was a star-studded affair, featuring notable Bollywood celebrities such as Kajol, Salman Khan, Rekha, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and many others.
Shining On and Off Screen
This wedding comes on the heels of Sonakshi’s stellar performance in Heeramandi, where she plays Fareedan, a character entangled in the complexities of love, betrayal, and power during British colonisation. Her role in this period drama has been widely praised.

Sonakshi Sinha continues to shine both on and off screen, her recent nuptials marking yet another beautiful chapter in her life.
