Couturier and red carpet favourite Elie Saab introduced his first namesake bridal collection this season, offering a wide range of styles in a cohesive-yet-diverse 27-dress range. The designer has always capped of his couture shows with a jaw-dropping wedding gown, and collaborated with Barcelona-based bridal house Pronovias for an Elie by Elie Saab capsule in the past, but this collection marks the designer's first foray into the bridal business on his own.
The motifs we've come to know and love from the designer will now be available to brides in Elie Saab flagship boutiques and, we hope after bridal market week concludes, top bridal boutiques the world over.
Traditional styles, delicate details, three-dimensional appliqués and lace abound, but standouts still felt reminiscent of the designer's ready-to-wear offerings, like a semi-sheer long sleeve lace sheath with ribbon-work in the bodice, and a sexy silk crepe jumpsuit with a trailing overskirt paired with a feather topper. Accessories were also thoughtfully curated and produced to style Saab's bridal looks – like clutches in white mink, pearls and Chantilly as well as a sweet pair of bridal ballerina flats subtly adorned with lace and pearls. Here, see the collection in it's entirety, and a sketch from the collection the designer shared exclusively with Bazaar.
