Back in May of this year, supermodel and founder of KORA Organics Miranda Kerr wed Even Spiegel in a close-knit ceremony in California. There were very few details announced about the nuptials, until now, as Miranda has finally shared some images of her breathtaking gown on her Instagram account.
Miranda wore a custom piece designed by Dior's creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri for her big day (it is also the first wedding gown Maria has made for the house). Speaking to Vogue US (where the pictures first ran having been shot by Patrick Demarchelier), Miranda explained that the inspiration behind her dress was none other than the iconic Grace Kelly and the wedding dress she wore to marry Prince Ranier of Monaco in 1956. "Honestly, I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful wedding dress. A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery. I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back."
Of the design process Maria said, "I have to be honest - she's not a difficult fit. She wanted something like a fairy tale, and she gave me this idea, to make a dress that was emotional and simple at the same time."
The former Victoria's Secret angel topped the dress of with a pearl-encrusted headpiece from Stephen Jones.
This is about as haute as happily ever afters come.
