Destination Wedding Planner Bianco Bouquet Has Arrived In Dubai
As destination wedding planner Bianco Bouquet opens in Dubai, founder Costanza Giaconi tells Bazaar Arabia about the Italian touch that makes her celebrations so special
You’ve approved the ring. You’ve said “yes” (essential). You’ve Zoomed your family, messaged your besties and taken the obligatory rock-shot, showcased on a perfectly manicured hand (with the Arabian Gulf glittering in the background…) Now, the next person to call? Costanza Giaconi. Founder of Bianco Bouquet, the renowned wedding planner is based in Florence and famous for bringing a little Italian magic to all her client’s destination weddings. But now, with a new base in Dubai, she and her team are on hand to make your dream wedding a reality at home – or abroad. “We create magic,” she shares over Zoom from her Italian HQ. And her high profile clients demand it, even if they don’t know what form of magic that might take.

“When we first meet, the key word is ‘listening’. Not only to what the client is telling us, but listening for what they don’t even know how to describe.” Often future clients will share a photo from Pinterest to illustrate their dream but Bianco Bouquet takes it further. “Of course we need a bride’s input about what she loves – the colour scheme, the atmosphere – but if you are a good planner, you are able to start from there and go somewhere else, which you cannot find on Pinterest or Instagram!” says Costanza.
That intuitive approach has made Bianco Bouquet the go-to for couples from across the globe, whatever style of wedding they wish for. Actors Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson worked with Bianco Bouquet on their three-day Amalfi Coast nuptials last year, to extravagant effect – but a base in Dubai will help the company create so many more memorable marriage ceremonies. “We already have clients in Dubai,” Costanza reveals, “and it was our first choice for expansion. Our style is not Italian weddings, it’s an Italian touch and we want to bring these to all couples [in Dubai].”

Costanza started working in fashion show production at university and her first wedding was for the daughter of a fashion designer. “I said, ‘OK, I want to do this!’ One year later Bianco Bouquet launched. “I was very young, even a little bit crazy!” But Costanza’s brand of ceremonial chic has been in demand ever since.

Has it always been plain sailing? “For some couples, some cultures, you cannot say no. You just need to have a Plan B and Plan C as you prepare to say no,” she laughs, “Our work is to find a solution that makes a couple happy.” Sometimes taking the stress out of a couple’s big day (or three) can leave a mark. “Some years ago a Russian couple asked for a Greek theme. The bride wanted to arrive at the ceremony, at sunset, dressed as Aphrodite, coming from a boat on a lake. We had to build a boat but I was so scared (in case) she fell into the water! That was one of my worst ceremonies, in terms of stress.” But it proves that for Bianco Bouquet, almost anything is possible.
