Jeddah Curfew: What You Need To Know About The New COVID-19 Lockdown Restrictions in Saudi Arabia

Following the increase of COVID-19 cases, the Kingdom has reinstated a strict curfew across the Red Sea City of Jeddah for the next two weeks.

According to Arabian Business, the country currently has over 95,000 confirmed cases and 700 fatalities.

The curfew is in place between 15:00 to 6:00, however, food delivery services and restaurants can continue to carry out home deliveries until 22:00 in all parts of the country. Saudi Arabia was one of the many gulf countries to be affected by the virus, which resulted in extended periods of lockdown.

The country was under a tight 24-hour lockdown during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays. To curb the increasing cases and to encourage social distancing, electronic wristbands have been introduced to monitor individuals in isolation.
