UAE Launches Bonus Scheme For COVID-19 Frontline Workers
All vital sector workers will receive compensation for their bravery and efforts during these tough times
One of the few positives that have come to light amidst the global pandemic is the newly founded appreciation for healthcare workers. As a result, the UAE is launching a bonus scheme for all vital sector workers.
According to Arabian Business, the system will consist of means of distribution and a specific set of criteria for essential staff to be compensated for their work in times of crisis.
Employees at the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention have been on the frontline of the country’s fight against COVID-19 and, consequently, these workers will be the first to receive compensation.
“It is our duty to appreciate everyone who contributed and participated in bearing the burdens with us during the crisis. We say to everyone that the best is always to come in the Emirates,” HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said.
He also mentioned that the UAE government ‘team’ is constantly striving to better serve Emiratis and residents alike.
“We continuously improve the services [and] development innovative decisions. Our goal is to build a bright future for our young generations,” he added.
