6 of The Most Stunning Bridal Looks From Haute Couture Week A/W 2024

These couture brides closed the Autumn/Winter 2024 shows on a mesmerising note

A long-standing tradition of Haute Couture Week is the magnificent bridal looks that close the shows. Affectionately dubbed the couture bride, it was previously considered a privilege and an honour for models to be chosen to don this ensemble.

Karl Lagerfeld was famously a champion of this practice, sending out exquisite bridalwear since the 80s. However, it was the likes of Lavin, Balmain, and Yves Saint Lauren who truly pioneered the concept of couture bride, closing their shows with sublime wedding gowns in the 50s.

At the Autumn/Winter 2024 shows, a few fashion houses still kept this tradition alive, sending bridal ensembles that dazzled down the runway. Here are a few of the best bridal looks from Haute Couture Week took our breath away.

Stephane Rolland

Stephane Rolland certainly made an impact with this exceptional creation he presented to close his show. Worn by model Coco Rocha, the ruffled white number featured a dramatic train, oversized hood and thigh-high slit in the front, evoking the true essence of couture bridal allure.

Chanel

Staged in the grand Palais Garnier in Paris, Chanel’s closing bridal look echoed this opulence with a stunning silk taffeta gown. The bodice is adorned with hand-embroidered flowers along with sequins and crystals, while nostalgic puff sleeves give a subtle nod 80s nostalgia.
