Sharjah Art Foundation Presents ‘Vantage Point Sharjah 4’

The photographic exhibition captures a series of self-portraits of emerging and established artists from the UAE and across the GCC

Photography enthusiasts can discover Vantage Point Sharjah 4 which takes place at Sharjah Art Spaces in Al Mureijah until October 12, 2016. The showcase features over 350 photographs in digital and film, from black and white to colour taken by amateur and established artists from across the region. The poignant self-portraits capture a range of compositions from realistic portrayals to abstract configurations to theatrical formats evoked through costumes to illustrate expressions of the participating artists’ various perspectives and identity.

The initiative marks the Sharjah Art Foundation’s continued efforts to support photography in the UAE and the GCC through annual open call submissions to encourage the artistic practice of photography in the region. 

‘Vantage Point Sharjah 4’ takes place at Sharjah Art Spaces in Al Mureijah until October 12, 2016.
