Opera de Monte Carlo Brings The World Premiere of La Bohème To Oman

A spectacular show at the Royal Opera House Muscat

Opéra de Monte Carlo and Royal Opera House Muscat have come together to present its world premiere of La Bohème, accompanied by the Philharmonique de Monte Carlo and the choir of Opéra de Monte Carlo.

Under the baton of Maestro Giuseppe Finzi, the performance will be staged by Monte Carlo’s brilliant director, Jean-Louis Grinda.  The refreshing cast of internationally acclaimed performers include the brilliant young Ethiopian soprano, Mariam Battistelli, with award-winning tenor Giorgio Berrugi as Rodolpho, and renowned soprano Irina Lungu as the young seamstress, Mimi.

Monte Carlo Opera

One of the most popular and frequently performed works in the world, La Bohème portrays ordinary people going about their lives in Puccini’s turn of the 19th Century Paris.  We hear the beautiful and heart-wrenching tale of Rodolfo, a struggling bohemian writer who meets the charming young seamstress, Mimi.  She captures his heart and it’s love at first sight, but what happens after is not so simple or straight forward as that first encounter, and so goes La Boheme.

Oman will be the first stop for this production of La Bohème, presented on the 3rd and the 5th of October at the fabulous Royal Opera House Muscat.  Showtime is 7:00 p.m., with a special pre-performance talk for ticket holders one hour prior.
