Blue Super Moon: How to see it in Dubai — Bazaar Arabia shares everything we know about the astrological phenomenon which will occur tomorrow night.
Prepare to witness a remarkable celestial phenomenon, a spectacle that happens only once in a blue moon, quite literally. Today, the United Arab Emirates will be treated to the extraordinary sight of a Blue Supermoon gracing its skies.
What is a Blue Supermoon?
A Blue Supermoon is a celestial occurrence that combines two intriguing lunar phenomena: the Blue Moon and the Supermoon. The Blue Moon, which is the first element of this cosmic duo, refers to the second full moon that graces our skies in a single calendar month. This event is a rarity, occurring approximately every 2.7 years.
The Supermoon, the second component of this cosmic spectacle, is a full moon that appears exceptionally large and luminous. This optical illusion is created by the moon’s elliptical orbit around Earth, causing it to be closer at certain times than others.
When these two lunar events overlap, the result is nothing short of magic. This is not the first occurrence this year, the first sight was spotted on August 1, 2023.
