Becky G Steps Out in Bahraini Brand Monsoori at the AMAs
The American singer opted for an all-black look at yesterday evening’s award ceremony
The American Music Award (AMAs) has always been on the global watchlist for music enthusiasts and fashion fanatics alike. The red carpet has served fashion watchers with some memorable looks in the past – from Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears‘ matching denim outfits in 2000 to Cardi B‘s 2021 appearance in a stunning gold face mask from Schiaparelli.
On Sunday evening, to mark the 50th landmark year of the AMAs the award ceremony opted for a black carpet to be rolled out at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Many attendees followed suit in all-black outfits from various designer labels, but what caught our eye was a particular American singer in a gown by a regional designer…
Becky G made quite the statement on the black carpet in a velvet dress by Bahraini brand Monsoori, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti platforms and jewellery by JustDesi.

Monsoori, helmed by Bahraini designer Shaima Al Monsoori, has been on the A-lister radar for a while now. The label’s signature looks are mainly dresses that incorporate volume, ruffles, draping, and long trails. The label has been worn by some of the biggest names in the music industry including Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion, Deepika Padukone, and Bebe Rexha, to name a few.
In Beyoncé‘s visual album Black is King, the award-winning singer is seen in a deep plum-coloured off-the-shoulder gown, looking like an absolute goddess.
At a Cartier event that took place in Madrid earlier this year, Deepika Padukone was a vision in white, wearing a peplum dress with a fitted bodice and a plunging neckline from the designer label.
