Bollywood Superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Has Been Taken To Hospital For COVID-19
Her entire family tested positive for the virus last week and were in quarantine together, however, it took a turn for the worst this past weekend…
One of India’s most famous celebrities, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has been taken to hospital, along with her daughter Aaradhya.
According to BBC and ANI agency the actress and former Miss World was brought to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital where her husband, Abhishek, and father-in-law Amitabh – both notable Bollywood actors – are both being treated for the virus.
According to the Times of India, the family was quarantining at home for a week after being tested, however, due to the severity of symptoms needed to see medical attention and supervision. This has been the highest profile COVID-19 cases in India.
India has been hit hard by the novel coronavirus, as it is the third most effected country within the world in terms of number of cases, after the United States and Brazil.
Last week Aishwarya’s father in Law, Amitabh, tweeted about his test results coming back positive.

He has also tweeted that “In happy times , in times of illness, you our near and dear, our well wishers, our fans have ever given us unstinting love , affection care and prayer… we express our bountiful gracious gratitude to you all .. in these circumstances hospital protocol, restrictive!”
