BTS’ Jimin Hits A Billion Streams On Spotify

The K-pop star made history as the only Korean male to hit this number on the music platform

Jimin is the lead vocalist and dancer for the highly admired K-Pop boy group BTS. With their initial debut in 2013, the boy band has gained international recognition and have become some of the biggest names in music. Gaining them an Army — the name for the BTS fandom.

Even without an official album, Jimin has set the Twitter world on fire with his three songs, Filter, Serendipity, and Lie. Surpassing one Billion streams on the popular music app Spotify, this milestone has made him the first and only Korean male to achieve this with his three solo Korean songs. 

His tracks have not only gone viral online but have also sold millions of units around the world. With Lie having over 180 million streams, Serendipity having over 330 million streams and Filter with 350 million, Jimin has made history, truly a proud moment for the star.
