Drake Makes First Public Appearance With His Son, Adonis
Father and son looked equally dapper at the 55th Billboard Music Awards yesterday evening
Canadian rapper and singer Aubrey Drake Graham, better known as Drake, made his first ever public appearance with his three-year-old son, Adonis, at the 55th Billboard Music Awards last night.
The rapper was the recipient of the “Artist of The Decade” award, presented to him by his parents and team — but that’s not all; when he accepted the award Drake brought Adonis along on stage to be by his side.
During his acceptance speech, Drake mentions “I’m really self-conscious about my music, and even if I do a good job, I always wonder how I could have done it better.”
“I rarely ever celebrate anything. And just for anyone watching this wondering how this happened, that’s really the answer — it’s being so unsure how you’re getting it done that you just kinda keep going in the hopes of figuring out the formula. I know I’ve spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyze all the things that I’ve did wrong, but tonight for once, I’m sure we did something right,” he said.
At the end of the speech Drake dedicated his win to his friends, long-time collaborators, peers, his family and, of course, to his son.
This is the first ever public appearance the adorable father-son duo have made. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future; perhaps a guest appearance in his next music video? Fingers crossed…
