Elyanna Lights Up The Stage At Lollapalooza

Palestinian-Chilean artist has been making history and headlines for her performances across the world

Elyanna has been booked and busy this year with her incredible performances – and is certainly never one to shy away from celebrating her Arab heritage.

Earlier this year the Harper’s Bazaar Qatar cover star made history with her television debut on the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she performed a medley of her songs, Callin’ U (Tamally Maak) and Mama Eh, wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh. The latter song was actually the first-ever song to be performed entirely in Arabic on the classic talk show.

The Palestinian-Chilean songstress was then invited by the legendary British rock group, Coldplay, to perform on stage with them at the Glastonbury in June, serenading over 200,000 attendees. (And who could forget when she made history in April, performing a full set in Arabic at the iconic Coachella Music Festival in California?)

Over the weekend, the 22-year-old took over the Lollapalooza stage to perform her hits and it was nothing short of spectacular. She not only celebrated her Arab roots that evening, but also her Hispanic roots by surprising the crowd with a rendition of the popular Spanish song El muchacho de los ojos tristes by singer Jeanette.

Elyanna wore a beautiful ensemble while on stage at the festival. She sported a white bodysuit with Arabic writing on the back, which translated to Lollapalooza 22 (possibly referencing her age?), she took the stage with gusto, paring it with a matching Chilean Palestino football team jacket around her waist, paying homage to both her cultures.

2024 has been a year to remember for the Nazareth-born singer-songwriter, who recently announced the dates and locations of the second half of her tour for her album titled Woledto.

The 2nd leg of the tour is now set to begin in Europe and will span seven different countries, before travelling to the US in October then eventually ending in London, UK at the end of the year.

Elyanna announced the tour with a series of beautiful visuals, that featured her on a sailboat challenging her inner mermaid.
