Why did Florence Pugh and Zach Braff Break Up? Bazaar Arabia shares everything we know about the split.
Florence Pugh has finally opened up about her break-up with Scrubs star Zach Braff.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.S. the 26-year-old actress — who is set to star in the hotly anticipated film Don’t Worry Darling, which will premiere next month — opens up about the realities of dating in Hollywood.
“Whenever I feel like that line has been crossed in my life, whether it’s paparazzi taking private moments, or moments that aren’t even real, or gossip channels that encourage members of the public to share private moments of famous people walking down the street, I think it’s incredibly wrong,” she tells BAZAAR.com. “I don’t think that people, just because they have this job, that every aspect of their life should be watched and written about. We haven’t signed up for a reality TV show.”
Florence and Zach began dating in 2019; their 21-year age gap (Zach is currently 47-years-old) quickly became a topic of conversation.
So… Why Did Florence Pugh and Zach Braff Break Up?
While the actress didn’t specify exactly why she and her former beau decided to split (which quietly occurred earlier this year), she did emphasize that the pair have been trying to consciously uncouple away from the prying eyes of paparazzi.

“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,” Florence tells BAZAAR.com. “We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.”
Regardless, Florence and Zach appear to be on good terms. The pair have collaborated on a film together, A Good Person, which is set to be released next year. “The movie that we made together genuinely was probably one of my most favorite experiences,” she says. “It felt like a very natural and easy thing to do.”
