On Sunday, the Egyptian Syndicate of Musical Professions released a statement revealing that they would no longer issue Balqees Fathi permits to perform live within the country.
Balqees did perform at the Galaa Club on Sunday evening, sharing a post on her Instagram account in a stunning orange gown by Alex Perry moments before she headed to the club.
“Egypt here I come, I am going to the party at the Galaa Club in Cairo,” she captioned the post.
She also shared a video of her performance on Instagram with the caption, “the most beautiful concert with the most beautiful fans at the Galaa Club of the Armed Forces in Cairo, Egypt.”
On Tuesday, reports were confirmed that the “ban” had been lifted, following the payment of the necessary fees for her concert at the Galaa Club, according to ET Bil Arabi reports. Seems like it was all just a bit of a terrible misunderstanding.
Balqees is scheduled to perform another concert tonight at the Opera House in Egypt – and, of course, we can hardly wait.
