Is Chrissy Teigen A Bully? Twitter Seems To Think So…
After several years of controversy, the thirty-five-year-old model and television personality has publicly apologised for her past actions
Chrissy Teigen is in hot water – and, unfortunately, one apology hasn’t satisfied her followers across various social media platforms. While the television personality and mum of two has been a victim of online abuse herself, Twitter isn’t taking any excuses when it comes to old tweets she’s shared on the micro-blogging platform in the past.
According to USA Today, the thirty-five-year-old wife of John Legend has been called out for sharing hateful tweets about reality television star Courtney Stodden, Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne, Lindsay Lohan and Project Runway contestant Michael Costello.
After several years of controversy that had, more or less been swept under the digital rug, on May 12 Chrissy came out on Twitter and apologised for her past comments and tweets.
“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behaviour but that…” she wrote within the tweet.
While her apology appears to be genuine, Chrissy still felt the need to express how terrible she felt about her past incidents.
A few hours ago, she posted again on her Instagram account, apologising for a second time.
“As you know, a bunch of my old awful (awful, awful) tweets resurfaced. I’m truly ashamed of them. As I look at them and understand the hurt they caused, I have to stop and wonder: How could I have done that?” she shared within the post.
While many of Chrissy’s victims have kept quiet when it comes to her recent public apologies, Michael Costello shared an Instagram carousel a few hours ago which included a statement and screen shots of his conversations with the model, expressing just how traumatic the ordeal was for him.
