She’s done with pop, ladies and gentlemen. After years of recording what can best be described as Hip Hop Lite tracks, Doja Cat has come out to confirm she’s officially quitting the genre of pop music.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter took to Twitter to share with her fans that she’ll be taking her music in a different direction within her next album.

“No more pop,” she tweeted, leading fans to suspect that she may be considering leaving the music industry all together.
Having clearly been influenced by her fans, Doja revealed that the feedback that she received has swayed her to go in a different direction, creatively speaking, for her next album.

Doja Cat New Album: What We Know
While there was speculation the “Kiss Me More” singer would dip her toes into the rap genre Doja told fans on Twitter that her next album will be a rock album.
The whole album is no longer rap yall its rock/spoken word and the album title is not Hellmouth anymore.
