Shocking rumours have been circulating Twitter and the root cause for the fake allegations stems from a Miley Cyrus megafan.

According to Daily Mail, the gossip began when a superfan of the thirty-year-old singer-songwriter alleged that Miley’s ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth was suing the Malibu singer for defamation of character. The fan tweeted, “According to leaked documents, Liam Hemsworth is officially suing Miley Cyrus for defaming him after the success of the single Flowers,”

Shortly after Tweeting the false information, the fan came back for round two, falsely claiming that Liam was due to ‘lose his contract with Netflix’ after he replaced actor, Henry Cavill, in The Witcher for its third season due to the negativity surrounding Miley’s hit single, Flowers.

Miley and Liam eloped on December 23, 2018, although the relationship did not last long – the couple would subsequently divorce just eight months after. The Wrecking Ball singer has been very vocal about her marriage with the actor, going as far as to brand her marriage as a ‘disaster,’

According to the crazed fan, the Australian actor is suing his ex-wife for defamation of character over her easter-egg-filled diss track, Flowers which consisted of references to her relationship with Liam. In addition to this, Miley released the song on Liam’s 33rd birthday.

It seems as though the rumours have been completely debunked after it was found the legal document was taken from a generated document website as well as the signatures being downloaded from google.

Liam and Miley have yet to publicly comment on the rumours.
