The artist, known for incorporating geographic isolation into his creative process, produced his Donda album on his Wyoming ranch. Kanye West’s distinctive approach of pulling from his environment to define his artistic journey has led him to Saudi’s AlUla for his latest collaborative album with Ty Dolla Sign. Making the Banyan Tree resort AlUla his base for at least this part of the project.

As such, sightings of him and his daughter North West have become frequent around Saudi Arabia, as the father-daughter pair explored Diriyah, the UNESCO world heritage site. The Al-Turaif district serves as an emblem of the nation’s cultural legacy. This historic mud-brick sector features narrow lanes and restored palaces that take the thousands of visitors who descend on it on a journey to the core of Saudi Arabia’s cultural origins.
