We can share glimpses of our lives with total strangers, build audiences and refine our personal brands. Some opt to share sound advice and wisdom, tips and tricks, while others treat their platforms as soapboxes.
Unfortunately, the very aspects that make social media such an important tool in today’s day in age can also turn it into one very slippery slope for some, often causing more drama than good…
Kanye “Ye” West and actress Julia Fox have reportedly called it quits after only a few weeks of dating, according to a statement provided to Page Six by the actress’s rep, making it clear that while “Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators” they are no longer an item.
The actress also confirmed the split in an Instagram Story on Monday evening – which has since been deleted – noting that she and Kanye are on “good terms,” and the separation is amicable.
“Why not see me for what I am which is a #1 hustler. I came up yall lol and not only that but Kanye and I are on good terms! I have love for him but I wasn’t in love with the man Jesus Christ what do yiu think I am, 12 years old?!”

While some sources hinted that Julia was heartbroken, the Uncut Gems star set the record straight herself.
“Y’all would love if I was soooo upset! The media would love to paint a picture of me a sad, lonely woman crying on a plane by myself but it’s NOT TRUE!!” the Uncut Gem actress writes. “Kanye and I are on good terms!” Regardless, Julia appears to have deleted all photos of her ex-boyfriend from her Instagram feed.
Meanwhile, Kanye has deleted all but two photos from his Instagram feed. “GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER,” the rapper wrote in the caption of one post – a collage of photos from Kim’s recent photoshoot with their four children – which he shared six days ago.
Why Did Kanye West and Julia Fox Break Up?
The split comes just days after the award-winning rapper posted a series of tweets and Instagram Stories slating his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian West, and her new beau, comedian Pete Davidson. Kim and Pete have yet to reply or comment in regards to anything related to Kanye’s online behavior.
And while Julia has yet to confirm if the rapper’s social media antics play a role in the break-up, some sources are reporting that it may have affected their decision to part ways.
Both Kanye and Julia seemed to have moved on relatively quickly; the rapper reportedly ordered a truck filled with roses to be delivered to his estranged wife’s house on Valentine’s Day, while she was spotted opening LaQuan Smith’s Autumn 2022 show at New York Fashion Week.
