On Thursday evening one of Tiktok’smost popular accounts – @kimandnorth – mysteriously disappeared from the platform, leading fans to wonder whether the mother-daughter due were ready to take a break from the platform.

Sources close to the family revealed to TMZ that the eldest child of Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband, Kanye “Ye” West, wanted to take a step back from the short-form video platform. “North has been more interested in focusing her creativity in other areas lately and is taking a break from TikTok,” the source revealed. “Like most kids, interests change often, so she may be back on as early as tomorrow — or never again.”
When fans searched for the account – which boasts 15.5 million followers – they were served a message that read “Couldn’t find this account,” leading many to suspect it had been deleted.
The account, which Kim and North created two years ago, has now been restored.
Did Kanye West Have Anything To Do With The Disappearance of Kim and North’s TikTok Account?
While to appears that Kanye West was not involved in the sudden removal of the account from the platform, he has made it clear he doesn’t approve of his daughter being active on the short-form video platform.
In past interviews, the award-winning rapper revealed that ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who is the main provider and caregiver to all four of their children, was going against his wishes by allowing North, 9, to share content.
“Tell her don’t have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok and don’t have her on TikTok at all if I don’t approve that, and I said it after it was done without me knowing, and it happened again,” he told Hollywood Unlocked. “So I feel like there’s some poking the bear, trying to antagonize me or create this, like, “crazy” narrative. Because to say someone is crazy, they’re trying to take the power away and do anything to get people to not pay attention to me.”
The Kardashian-Jenner family have yet to comment on the spontaneous removal of the account.
