Salma Abu Deif Shares A More Vulnerable Side On Instagram
The Egyptian actress recently revealed on the social media platform that she has been experiencing a series of issues related to her health, causing uncomfortable side effects and symptoms
While many content creators and personalities on social media like to brag about how authentic their feeds are, being 100% honest with one’s followers is difficult at the best of times. After all, we only share the highlights of our lives on Instagram, curating a very specific version of “reality,” and being truthful about our personal circumstances can be hard – especially if it’s your job to constantly be in the spotlight.
Egyptian actress Salma Abu Deif recently revealed on Instagram that she has been experiencing a series of issues related to her health, causing uncomfortable side effects and symptoms.
“In two weeks, I suffered laser burns all over my body, my lips got cut and torn during wisdom tooth surgery and a month ago I had an ulcer endoscopy,” she recently shared in an Instagram story. Salma’s made a note to never judge anyone on the basis of their pictures and stressed to her followers that it is important to always consider that there’s more to the story when it comes to social media.
The actress recently starred in the series “Except Me,” where she played the role of Tala in the “I Must Live” segment, working alongside Jamila Awad, Ahmed Khaled Saleh and others. The story is centered around a girl named Nour diagnosed with Vitiligo who was suffering social bullying and a negative perception of her appearance.
Salma played the role of the supportive best friend, who encouraged Nour to confront society with her natural beauty rather than hide her illness using cosmetics.
