She is Palestinian
Saudi-born, Dubai-raised but originally Palestinian, Simi is no stranger to proudly flaunting, defending and embracing her Middle Eastern roots. From attending human rights protests to a recent initiative that raised $20,281.09 to power the homes of families in Gaza, you’ll always catch her waiving the Palestinian flag and chanting “Free Palestine.”
She is a Twin
There’s no other explanation for the name “SimiHaze” other than that of Simi’s identical twin sister, Haya— nicknamed Haze. The easiest way to tell the two apart? Their hair (Haze’s is shorter and Simi has a fringe).
She Graduated From The University of Southern California (USC)
In 2016, the sister-duo both graduated from the University of Southern California, having doubled majored in film production and fine art. The pair never got involved in Greek Life nor lived on campus during their four years, according to an interview with W Magazine.
She is a DJ
Building an impressive resume as quite the DJ, Simi and her sister have spun all over the world, notably at Coachella and Riyadh Season. However, she’s not limited to the deck, rather, has been caught sharing a plethora of guitar-playing videos to her Instagram.

Launching a namesake beauty brand alongside her twin sister in 2021, the DJ turned beauty-mogul revolutionized the ease of funky-chic eye-looks through her bold eyeliner stickers.
