You might have already heard the name, Danielle Galligan and possibly the rest of the Shadow and Bone cast already. Since the TV series returned with its second season on March 16, 2023 fans have been going wild online with their main attraction being the relationship between Nina Zenik (played by Danielle) and Matthias Helvar (played by Calahan Skogman).
The series itself was developed by Eric Heisserer for Netflix and is based on two book series written by Leigh Bardugo, the Shadow and Bone trilogy and The Six of Crows duology.
In a nutshell, the TV series follows the story of a young Alina Starkov, an orphan and cartographer for the Ravka nation’s First Army. After discovering she is Grisha (someone with special gifts), Alina is sent to join Ravka’s Second Army where the ‘Heartrenderer’ Nina Zenik (played by Danielle) works as a spy for General Kirigan otherwise known as The Darkling.

Well, the moment you have all been waiting for. According to Netflix Life, despite the fact that Danielle and Calahan frequently show up on each other’s Instagram pages (even going as far as getting matching tattoos done by Danielle’s cousin), the duo have not yet confirmed that they are together. Aside from Calahan, not much else can be found about Danielle’s love life.
