The 41-year-old Aston Martin race car driver has found himself in the headlines of some of the most popular headlines this past week. Why you ask? Well, he’s been teasing fans who have been spreading rumours the Spaniard has been dating no other than award-winning singer, Taylor Swift.
According to an anonymous email sent to Deux Moi, “A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso,” adding, “According to them, the couple has been seeing each other for a week now. Nothing serious tho since they are both recently single,”

Both stars have not come out to confirm nor deny the shocking news but the 41-year-old racing driver is certainly having fun with the rumours. On Monday, Fernando posted a 5-second TikTok video with Taylor’s hit song, “Karma,” playing. He wrote in the caption, “Race week era,” making the connection to the Award-winners current International tour, “Era’s Tour,”

Fernando was born in Asturias
Fernando was born in Oviedo, Asturias, Northern Spain on July 29, 1981 (making the Formula 1 driver a Leo), to a mine shaft explosives factory mechanic and amateur kart driver; José Luis Alonso and a department store employee; Ana Díaz. Fernando also has an elder sister named Lorena who works as a doctor.
Fernando made his car racing debut at 17-years-old
The 41-year-old made his debut at just 17 years old in the 1999 Euro Open by Nissan with Campos Motorsport, Fernando would end up winning the title from Manuel Gião at the final race of the season with six wins and nine pole positions.
Fernando is a two-time Formula 1 world champion
Fernando has been incredibly successful in his racing car career, going on to win the series’ World Drivers’ Championship in 2005 and then again a year later in 2006 with Renault. The 41-year-old has also driven for McLaren, Ferrari, and Minardi and is currently driving for Aston Martin.
Fernando retired from Formula 1
According to Page Six, after the Spaniard spent two years away from the sport, Fernando famously came out of retirement in 2021 saying the COVID-19 pandemic was one of the factors in his decision. “In [my] time away from Formula 1, we had the pandemic,” Alonso told reporters from RN 365.
