According to Daily Mail, the Material Girl singer is reportedly dating a 29-year-old boxer – 35 years her junior – Josh Popper. The news comes shortly after Madonna split up with her now ex-boyfriend and model, Andrew Darnell.
On February 13, 2023, the boxing coach took to Instagram to share three images following a boxing match victory in which the Like a Prayer singer can be seen cuddling up next to her rumoured boyfriend. Josh captioned the post, “I wanna thank my coaches, my team, and my Bredwinners family for pushing me to be my best in and out of the ring. I got some good people by my side ??”
It seems as though we might be seeing this unconventional duo for a while. According to sources obtained by Daily Mail, the couple isn’t putting on a show and Madonna and Josh have been seeing each other romantically for a while.

He is a boxer
The twenty-nine-year-old athlete spends time in the ring when he isn’t spending time training other aspiring boxers. According to Hollywood Life, Josh began posting his boxing skills on social media in 2019, although it is unclear when he began coaching himself.
He starred in a reality TV show
Chances are, you might have already seen Josh Popper on your screen. According to Daily Mail, the boxing coach appeared in the latest season of the Bravo American reality TV series, Summer House which features nine singles living in a holiday house located in Montauk, East Hampton.
He is the founder of a boxing studio
Aside from being a boxing coach, Josh dabbles in business himself – having founded his own boxing studio, Bredwinner in February 2021. The gym had its grand opening in November and offers boxing lessons in addition to hosting events. Prior to this business venture, the athlete had worked in New York City as an insurance salesman.
He trains one of Madonna’s kids
The details of this unlikely relationship are foggy. Although, Daily Mail reports that the twenty-nine-year-old trains one of Madonna’s six children – information on which child this is has not been revealed.
He was in the NFL
Precedent to starting his boxing career and later going on to found his own gym, Bredwinner – the athlete was an NFL athlete, playing in teams such as the Cardinals and the Colts.
